Luxe is a 4 letter word.

Is a TV considered luxury? or a refrigerator? Years ago, they were, but times change and these luxuries become necessesities.
Today, QUALITY has replaced the 'L' word.. OK, so quality will cost you, but in the long run, penny-for-penny per use, a quality product will far outlive a cheaper version... and you'll look better for it.. There is a reason why hand sewn shoes, for example, cost an arm and a foot, and that's because they 'last' ( pun intended).
Same goes for everything from well constructed handsewn clothing (especially Savile Row & Neapolitan - they know what they are doing, and been doing it for donkey's years) to haute cusine ( but sensible foods only -your body is a temple, love it and it will love you back, abuse it with sat fats and R.I.P) In these 'challenging' economic times spend wisely and spend accordingly.

Wow them in White.. ahhhh, Summer..

I love black, don't get me wrong. 95% of my wardrobe is black, navy or different shades of grey.. but come high Summer, wonderful white rules. Crisp, light, cool, white reflects the heat away, leaving you cool and comfy. White looks at it's best when you do as well, with a bit of a tan, and not the 'pale but interesting' look that Winter forces on us.

White looks good with white... with ivory, stone, khaki, and all those other lovely natural neutrals.

The picture from Playboy Magazine shows a slightly fitted white cotton stretch poplin shirt by Lorenzini which has a small rounded collar and a natural ivory colored hand sewn silk tie by Massimo Bizzocchi. Wear it loose and uptight with either white jeans or flat front white cotton pants.

www.LORENZINI.it

Lorenzini have been making shirts in the hills outside of Milan since 1920.

Boxers vs. Briefs. The debate continues....Still making your mind up? In the meantime check out these boxer shorts by Lorenzini. They come 3 assorted colors per plexiglas flip top box. Artfully tailored to eliminate bunching (who needs bunching?), they are made with the same care and attention as their dress and sport shirts. Superb quality cottons. So handsome, you could (almost?) wear them as shorts.. why not indeed!

Timothy Everest bespoke, London is one of the younger breed of Savile Row trained tailors that bridge the generation gap... From Mick Jagger & Tom Cruise to David Cameron & Gordon Brown. But, that's what bespoke is all about... a service where a gentleman can go and have a garment made specifically to his own measurements , and temprement.

Mr. Everest created the non-military 1930's costumes for James McAvoy in Atonement , Tom Cruise's suits in MI, and Eyes Wide Shut, Colin Firth in The Accidental Husband, plus loads more.

Playboy struck just the right note with their celeb profile of Shemar Moore in their May issue... Kudos to Joseph DeAcetis and the gang...

Blues that have life were seen all over the runways for spring 09, in clothing, sportswear and accessories... ranging from electric to deeper ocean tones, but always with life - the all imortant inner glow... This jacket is linen and silk by Massimo Bizzocchi, the shirt a wonderful pale blue by Lorenzini from their 1920 range and the knit cotton sleeveless sweater by Avon Celli.... me like-ee... all my clients......
